1. What is Quantum AI?
Simply put, Quantum AI combines the overwhelming computational power of quantum computers with the cognitive abilities of AI to process data at ultra-high speeds.
Current AI faces physical challenges, such as limits in classical computing power and massive energy consumption. Quantum AI was created to solve these problems. Furthermore, Quantum AI is not only useful for solving AI's challenges but can also be utilized to help develop quantum computers themselves.
2. Challenges
Most of the challenges in Quantum AI are actually the challenges of quantum computers themselves. Specifically, these include issues related to quantum errors and algorithms. Therefore, Quantum AI will become fully realizable once a universal quantum computer is completed.

* Algorithm: Equations
3. Expectations
While some forms of Quantum AI are already in practical use, it is a very recent technology with few real-world applications yet, so there are high expectations for its future. Specifically, it is said that Quantum AI will be commercialized by 2030 and fully implemented in society by 2035. That's surprisingly close, isn't it?
Moving forward, Quantum AI is expected to excel in areas like simulation-based analysis. Specific applications include modeling biology at the molecular level to develop new drugs, simulating the effects of decarbonization efforts, developing quantum cryptography that cannot be broken even by quantum computers, aiding in the development of quantum computers themselves, and analyzing stock market patterns.
There are surprisingly many applications, and they are closely related to our daily lives.
Personally, I am most excited about the prospect of Quantum AI accelerating the development of even better quantum computers.
